Another Penny discovery: she likes cars, or eats cars

One of the fun things about a rescue dog is learning what they know. Evan brought out a remote control car and it was clear to see Penny had seen one before, she was ready for action!

As soon as it hit the floor she was after it, quick grab and releases followed up with barking of course

                                               Look at that paw action!

Life with a teenager:

Our house burned down a while back, workers took alot of stuff away, cleaned it and returned it, now we are opening the boxes: a Zillion boxes. Of course Woody and ME; Penny (aka new girl on the block) were right in the middle helping. Those boxes have been in the garage and smelled very interesting! Didn't see any critters but you never know, Woody grabbed the empty boxes and gave em a good shake. Lulu the Boxer came to help. Well, our boy Evan decided to build a little doggie kennel and see how we liked it, right! Who would break out first??

Penny has a new "Do"

I had a spa day, and came home with a nice new look, going on the OATS walk this Saturday and I want to look my best! After they got all that old hair off it looks like I stepped in black ink. Black feet and lower legs turns to soft grey on the back, interesting shades, and oh so soft!

Kenny brought little Paxton over to see the chickens, isn't he cute? Wish they'd hold that chicky still for me.

Lulu the neighbor Boxer came down and we all chilled in the yard, Ahh the good  life!

Bee Butt Arrives

     She's here!  Bee Butt is at my house!

      The other day Mom left with my collar and leash but NO ME!

What?? I knew she made an awful mistake so I yelled and yelled, nuthin, gone.  When she got home she had this!

 It's Bee Butt!  Isn't she cute? She had to go to the dentist and get five toofers pulled before she could come home. She had a chip but Mom was told no records, huh? So Mom traced the chip back to the issuing vet and drove there. When Bee Butt got out of the car she knew the place! Strait thru the door and up on the counter for treats! The vet records gave us her birth date and, yup, her name! How long had it been since she heard her own name? She was so excited to hear her name, you should have seen it, happy happy tears all around the vet office!  Penny Penny Penny!

Well I was pretty danged excited, but what would the kitties and chickens think?                                   Com'on Penny, let's go see the backyard!

Sumthin's up at our house

     Last Saturday Mom loaded up a crate in the van,  Ho! Sumthin's up!  

                                    

  I prefer the front seat to the crate, know what I mean?   I like to look in the cars, people laugh at me.  So just the two of us took a little two hour ride, and were did we stop?  (Besides McDonalds drive thru of course), Well we stopped at a dog shelter!  I had to wait outside but I could smell and hear lots of doggies.  Then she came and got me, we walked up and down a hall following some girly dog, back and forth we went, we gave each other a good sniffin, then we went out to a pen and sniffed around some more.  I sniffed so much I had a little pee incident all over the pen, boy was I embarrassed, ducked my head cause I just knew I was in trouble, but nope, nobudy said a thing!

 

 Here she is, kinda pretty huh? Her tail had a little boo boo, shaved so it looks like a bumble bee stinger! She can sure wag it. Nobody knows her name, I say we call her    Bee Butt! 

She just ignored me, can you imagine? That's OK, cause I liked her :) 

Since our Callie Mae went over the Rainbow Bridge I have been pretty lonely.

                                          
 Here she is, still kind of ignoring important me!  Then, all of a sudden it was time to go..

                   " But Mom I just got to knowin her........What do ya mean I can't keep her?"

            Summer Time Fun

Hi Buddies, I'm Back!  Mom washed the camera so we've been gone for a while. Been following you guys, everybody ready for the Blogville Olympics! Don't think I'll enter swimming, I'll leave that to my buddy Austin. Here I am at his house, look how much water we left in the pool!
                     He really likes to swim, not me,     I'll just hang out around the edge thanks,

We like to wrassel around,  see how I'm catchin some air here, two feet off the ground, once in a while sumthin happens and I end up in the water, but I don't swim...... I dog paddle!

 All this playin is hard work,

Cupcakes

We're makin cupcakes, and I am the official taste tester!
Our high school neighbor is going to Spain this summer, we are
helping with his fundraiser. 

Lots of cupcakes, and I am ready to taste, I have watched every one
With all these teenagers here somebody will take pity on me...

Wet Walkin

It's me, wet wet Woody. I just got in the car after for a great hike with Wyatt and Stanzie, saw lots of doggies, some bikes and joggers too. Sorry there no walk pics, But I've got a secret to tell ya:

I hurt my Mama, Yup, finger jam. I was so excited to see Wyatt and Stanzie that I kinda jerked my lead and that finger, oops. Really she should be ready for my super strength!

Woody Cleans House

 While Mom wasn't lookin I stole the paper towels and snucked into the front room.

I had a great time, also found an almost empty popcorn bag and cleaned that out too, can you see it?

Well, I got so busy, I found a plastic bottle, a shoe and a toy that needed a little destuffing, what a day! Don't ya just luv what I did for the place?? Time for a little nappie,
